Tests & Results

Please allow 7 days before contacting the Practice for any test results. If there is anything in your results that the GP wishes to notify you of sooner, you will be contacted via telephone.

Text message reminders are sent to patients once test results have been received to request that you contact to obtain them.

Hospital Tests

It is the responsibility of the hospital consultant/doctor who requests a test to interpretate the result and advise the patient of the result. We are advised by the British Medical Association not to interpretate these results as we are not aware of the requesting doctors thought processes.  THerefore, if you have had any procedures/tests carried out by the hospital you should contact that department direct for the results.  If you are unsure who to telepohone a member of the admin team can advise the best contact at the hospital for you to discuss this.
