Reception

Our Reception/Admin staff (Toni, Paula, Michelle, Christine, Megan, Gwen and Jill), provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Community Nurses

The District Nurses offer nursing care to people in their home who, for medical reasons only, are unable to attend the surgery. They also offer advice and support to patients and their carers. They are based at the health centre and can be contacted on 761086.

Health Visitors

Our health visitors are registered nurses who also have an additional qualification in community health. They can offer advice to people of all ages who have problems concerning their health. The Health Visitor is based at the health centre and can be contacted on 761087

Training Practice

In September 2004 we obtained accreditation for GP Registrar training. A GP Registrar is a fully qualified doctor, with relevant hospital experience, who has chosen to specialise in general practice. During their period with us (normally 12 months) the GP Trainers & other GP Partners within the practice will closely supervise the registrars’ work. Normal appointments and follow-up appointments can be made with the registrar.
